This particular chinese takeaway shop is located in Hampden Park, very near to the railway crossing there. It used to be my chinese takeaway place of choice - if i fancied a night off from cooking then i would give them a ring. The prices have always been reasonable as was the food. In fact i loved the food - it was freshly cooked, tasted great and you got generous portions too.
But then after using them religiously for a couple of years the standard of food and service swiftly declined, within the space of a month i'd had two or three dud meals from them that took an hour or more to get to me. One of the meals was totally wrong, another had a couple of hairs in one dish - not appetite inducing in the least. So there ended my loyalty to the Lantern, especially when i had little if any apology for each incident and no offer of any kind of refund.
So i have unfortunately had to give this place one star as they have put me off them for life.
